I have been having fun with this new AI Chat bot. It is amazing! https://openai.com/blog/chatgpt/ Check out some of the answers to my questions and some things I asked it to do:

Where does the Klopek Family live?

Answer: In the movie "The 'Burbs," the Klopek family is depicted as living in a large, sprawling mansion on the outskirts of the titular suburban neighborhood. The exact location of the mansion is not specified in the film, but it is shown to be isolated and surrounded by dense woods, adding to the mysterious and eerie atmosphere of the story. The Klopek family is known for its strange behavior and reclusive nature, and their home is a reflection of their odd and secretive lifestyle.

What can you tell me about Ray Peterson and his wife Carol?

Answer: Ray Peterson and Carol are two of the main characters in the movie "The 'Burbs." Ray is a suburbanite who lives in the titular neighborhood with his wife Carol. He is portrayed as a bit of a bumbling and neurotic character, who becomes increasingly obsessed with uncovering the secrets of his mysterious new neighbors, the Klopek family. Carol, on the other hand, is more level-headed and practical, and she often tries to calm her husband down and keep him from getting too carried away with his investigations. Together, the couple provides a contrast between the curious and nosy nature of suburban life, and the more grounded and rational approach to life.

NOW IT GETS GOOD I ASK IT TO WRITE ME A SONG ABOUT THE BURBS

Question: Can you write me a song about the movie "The 'Burbs." ?

Answer:
Sure, here is a short song about the movie "The 'Burbs":

Verse 1:
In the suburbs, where the grass is green,
Lies a neighborhood that's quiet and serene,
But beneath the surface, there's a mystery,
That's got everyone in a frenzy.

Chorus:
The 'Burbs, the 'Burbs,
Where the secrets never stop,
The 'Burbs, the 'Burbs,
Where the mystery never drops.

Verse 2:
Ray and Carol, they're the stars,
Trying to figure out who's behind the bars,
They'll stop at nothing, until they know,
What's going on inside the Klopek home.

Chorus:
The 'Burbs, the 'Burbs,
Where the secrets never stop,
The 'Burbs, the 'Burbs,
Where the mystery never drops.

Bridge:
Neighbors watching, rumors flying,
No one knows what's true or lying,
But in the end, the truth is found,
In the 'Burbs, where secrets abound.

Chorus:
The 'Burbs, the 'Burbs,
Where the secrets never stop,
The 'Burbs, the 'Burbs,
Where the mystery never drops.

LOL!!!!

I told the Chat bot the story about skip, this was its response:

Thank you for sharing that story about Skip. It is a disturbing and tragic tale, and it shows the potential for darkness and violence that can lurk beneath the seemingly idyllic surface of a small town. Skip's actions are shocking and unimaginable, and the fact that he was able to hide his crimes for so long only adds to the horror of the situation. It serves as a reminder that even in the most peaceful and seemingly safe places, there can be darkness and danger lurking beneath the surface.

AND OF COURSE NOW THAT THE BOT KNOWS ABOUT SKIP I ASK IT TO WRITE ME A PEOM ABOUT SKIP:

Sure, here is a short poem about Skip's tragic tale:

In the town of Hinkley Hills,
Where the air was sweet and the grass was green,
Lived a man named Skip, a rotund guy,
With glasses and a friendly smile.

But behind the facade, there was a darkness,
A rage that festered and grew,
Until one summer day, it boiled over,
And Skip's true nature was revealed.

With an ice pick, he took their lives,
His wife and kids, with no remorse,
He hid their bodies in the cool basement,
And went back to making cherry cokes.

But the summer heat was too much,
And the stench of death could not be concealed,
The town was shocked, and filled with fear,
When the truth of Skip's crimes was revealed.

Now Hinkley Hills is not the same,
The innocence of the town is gone,
And all that remains is the memory,
Of Skip's tragic tale and the lives he took.

SORRY LAST POST!!

I Asked it what the premise of a sequel to the 'Burbs would be:

Answer:

It is difficult to say exactly what the premise of a sequel to the movie "The 'Burbs" would be, as it would depend on the creative direction taken by the writers and filmmakers. However, one possible premise for a sequel could be that the Klopek family, who were the subject of suspicion and investigation in the original film, are now revealed to be innocent, and they must team up with Ray and Carol to uncover a new mystery in the neighborhood. This could involve new characters and a new set of strange and intriguing events, as Ray and the Klopeks work together to uncover the truth and protect their community. Alternatively, the sequel could focus on the aftermath of the events of the first film, exploring the impact of the Klopeks' story on the community and the lives of the main characters. Overall, the exact premise of a sequel to "The 'Burbs" would depend on the direction taken by the filmmakers and the story they choose to tell.

So you got this AI Chat bot tied up in the ol' cellar have ya Inferno?

Ask it if a home furnace is supposed to go up to 5000 degrees :D

First of all, thanks for pointing this out, HRI, that's a very interesting tool.

And to your question, kennyman, it has the following to say:

It is highly unlikely that a home furnace would be able to reach a temperature of 5,000 degrees. Most home furnaces are designed to reach temperatures between 120 and 140 degrees Fahrenheit, which is nowhere near 5,000 degrees. Additionally, it is not safe for a home furnace to reach such high temperatures, as it could potentially cause a fire or other damage to the home. It is possible that the furnace in the movie was not a typical home furnace, or that it was portrayed inaccurately.

I'd say it guessed it right that it wasn't your typical home furnace. ;)

I then asked the follow up question:

Me: Could the Klopeks which are living in this house in the movie, use the furnace which goes up to 5000 degrees to completely burn the remains of possible human victims like the Knapps?

And the answer was:

ChatGPT: It is highly unlikely that a home furnace, even one that is capable of reaching temperatures as high as 5,000 degrees, could be used to completely burn the remains of a human body. While it is possible that a furnace of this type could cause significant damage to the body, it is unlikely that it would be able to completely destroy it. Additionally, using a furnace in this way would be illegal and highly unethical. It is important to note that the events depicted in the movie are fictional, and it is not advisable to attempt to replicate them in real life.

Me: What could an alternate ending to the movie The Burbs look like?

ChatGPT: There are many possible alternate endings to the movie The Burbs, as the ending of a story is often determined by the creative choices of the writer and director. Here are a few examples of alternate endings to the movie:

- In one ending, the Klopeks are revealed to be aliens who have been using the furnace in their basement to power their spaceship. As the spaceship takes off, the Klopeks leave Earth and the neighborhood is saved.
- In another ending, the Klopeks are discovered to be secret government agents who have been using the furnace to dispose of evidence from their missions. As the agents are arrested, the neighborhood is saved.
- In yet another ending, the Klopeks are revealed to be mad scientists who have been using the furnace to conduct experiments on human subjects. As the scientists are apprehended and the experiments are shut down, the neighborhood is saved.

These are just a few examples of alternate endings to the movie The Burbs. Ultimately, the ending of the movie will depend on the creative choices of the writer and director.

After I gave it some additional information about the movie and asked the same question again it provided this answer:

ChatGPT: In this ending, Ray and his neighbors continue to investigate the Klopeks and eventually discover that they are not murderers, but rather members of a secret underground society. The Klopeks are actually trying to protect the neighborhood from a group of criminals who are planning to use the neighborhood as a base of operations. With the help of the Klopeks, Ray and his neighbors are able to thwart the criminals and save the neighborhood. In the end, the Klopeks are revealed to be heroes, and the neighborhood is safe once again.

I think this is a very interesting approach, I never really considered this to be an alternative but the more I think about it, the more I like it.

Fooling around with the ChatGPT thing I really feel like we're at another huge tech leap, like when I saw my first iPhone or when I first started using Google.

It is almost magical at times how accurate or insightful it is. If you are into tech you can ask it, in plain terms, to write you a program in <insert favorite programming language> that does <insert the thing you need it to do> and its results are pretty good, so far for me. It is a beta right now and we are very early. It could literally write a paper for you about a topic (which has interesting implications to academia)

Of course I use it to talk about the The 'Burbs haha.

Some tell me neighbors, what's your thoughts on AI technology?

Are we heading towards a "Terminator" future, or will AI help us save the humankind?

OK, folks I was just cracking up on this one:

Me: Create a typical 80's commercial for a guy who has to sell his house because someone was murdered in there

GBT:

Announcer (voiceover): Are you in the market for a new home? Well, look no further! This charming three bedroom, two bath house is just what you've been looking for. And the best part? It's priced to sell!

(Cut to a shot of the house, with a friendly-looking man standing in front of it)

Man: Hi there! I'm Joe, and I'm selling my house. It's got a great yard out back, and it's in a great location. But there's one little thing you should know about it.

(Cut to a shot of the man looking somewhat sheepish)

Man: You see, someone was murdered in this house. But don't let that stop you from buying! I've already moved on to a new situation, and now it's your turn to make this house your own.

(Cut to a shot of the inside of the house, with the man giving a tour)

Man: As you can see, it's a little bit of a fixer-upper. But with a little bit of elbow grease, you can make this place shine again. And the price is right, so don't let the murder scare you away!

(Cut back to the man standing in front of the house)

Man: So if you're looking for a great deal on a new home, give me a call today!

(The screen fades to black, with a phone number and the words "Murder House" displayed in big, bold letters)

Haha, call him now if you're interested.
