Christmas time is almost here!

LOL

My brother-in-law and I give each other crappy gifts for Christmas every year. I am trying to find one of those leg lamps - a major award - to give him that doesn't cost $100. I may have to buy a mannequin leg and make one myself using that and an old lamp shade
Last year the stores were rolling out the Christmas goods (and it IS Christmas, boys and girls, not "xmas";) well before Halloween got underway. You had to be quick to stock up, too. I remember going back for something in early December and most of their Christmas stuff had been sold and was getting cleared out!

I'm gonna staple his @ss shut!

I bought one of those for my Uncle about 3 years ago. If you buy the smaller one it wont cost so much. I think you can get them in 20" size for under $100.

I'm only laying here with my eyes closed trying to get some goddamn sleep!
I saw some of those but I want to get him a large one so he can't put it away so you can't see it. Here is what I got him last Christmas.

My other brother-in-law got the 5 foot catfish because he lives in redneck haven - Oklahoma - to the most of you.

Apologies to any Okies on the board.
Oklahoma, wasn't there a series of tornados lately? I thought I heard something in the news.

Walter, I have your dog.
There were some tornadoes there within the last 24 hours and I think some the day before. Oklahoma is in what they call "Tornado Alley" as is north Texas and Kansas.
Ah, the "Tornado Alley". I've heard that before.

I recently bought a book about storm chasers from Eric Nguyen and Mike Hollingshead:

http://www.amazon.com/Adventures-Tornado-Alley-Storm-Chasers/dp/0500287376/ref=pd_bbs_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1211644741&sr=8-1

It features some stunning and beautiful shots from tornados.

Walter, I have your dog.
Tornadoes are pretty terrifying. We had one hit about a half mile from our house a few years back and I had one hit the office where I worked (about one half hour before work). These were minor storms, probably a 1 on the scale they use. They are a random event, unlike a hurricane where you can see them coming days away, and for that very reason invoke more terror than almost any other natural phenomenon, even earthquakes due to their higher frequency.
Scary as well...we got new footage of the twisters on the BBC news website yesterday. Awesome. In the true sense of the word.

"...we should sue them..."
I also have those mixed feelings when I see them. They're somehow beautiful, scary and awe-inspiring at the same time.

It must be a great feeling to see them live but here in Germany...FORGET IT!

Walter, I have your dog.
I think the RAF Tornadoes are the only ones seen there.

"...we should sue them..."
You are lucky. Although I am sure your Tornado could be just as deadly in its own way.

Here is a nice shot of one, probably better shots out there. I always liked the Spitfire myself. If you go to this website, also check out the Typhoon.
