Every time I watch the Burbs! The COUNT thread...

I hired a gardener! YAY! So I can watch the Burbs movies a few times more, and make the neighbors envious.

I can't seem to find Chemlawn anywhere in Sweden though...my garden could do with it.

You gotta relase the gardener as soon as he starts digging for nightcrawlers.

But indeed, that gives you more time to do something productive...to watch The Burbs.

Walter, I have your dog.
Nightcrawlers? Fishermen??????????

"...we should sue them..."
I woke up this past Sunday morning and notice the wife had gone shopping so I got some OJ and watched the 'burbs...ah relaxing!

I'm only laying here with my eyes closed trying to get some goddamn sleep!

The perfect way to start your day.

Walter, I have your dog.
It's really hot today, I mean...it was sweltering, it's been like this for 4 days in a row now.

Do you think our new neighbors are going to do something about their lawn? They've been there for a month...
Same here in Germany. Hot! That heat where your underwear sweats and it crawls up the...
Anyway, it's hot, okay?

I even hang one of those pine things on my porch.

Walter, I have your dog.
I just watched the burbs yesterday again. It's christmas time here in Sweden and it's all about watching the neighbors cat go by, magpies fighting for whatever is left of apple trees.

Noticed a few things that irritated me, maybe it's just my burbsy hearth that got annoyed by it...but I was kind of thinking "No...nooooo, don't do that" when Rumsfield tore down the wallpaper in the Klopeks house, it's such a nice house, I kind of like that old "panel style" housing.

I try to stay with the original wood myself here in my house.

Another thing I noticed, was the garbage cans, why do they have metal garbage cans (a'la the old American style, often depicted in Donald Duck magazine or as icons on the computer), when the rest of the neighborhood has plastic garbage cans?

We have plastic garbage cans here, but they are square and have separate rooms for sorting garbage types, plastics, organic, newspaper & solids. etc. Heck, we have an entire set of 9 special compartments for sorting garbage over here.
