Nope, I was to old when that came out. I wan't watching cartoons anymore by that time.

Well I'm 27 now and sometimes I...still...watch some cartoons. I can't help, I liked them in the past and I still do now. Tom & Jerry, Looney Tunes, the Roadrunner clips, Tiny Toon Adventures, this stuff still manages to make me smile and even laugh.

Is this totally weird or am I at least semi-normal?

My daughter's 5 meaning I get to watch Scooby Doo all the time...and Tom & Jerry.

But I'll tell you what...modern T&J and SDoo are sh*t.

Are they still producing modern episodes of these shows?

I'll be 40 this August. I used to watch Looney Toons the most.

Hyperactive and accompanied by strange techno music?

I don't know, the "old" makers of cartoons were somehow able to see things from the kids perspective. They knew what the kids would like to see. They projected themselves into the kids minds, you know what I mean?

Just like, for a little example, this clip from the Tiny Toons: How I spent my vacation movie which I can recommend to any kid in the world:

It's cute, it's charming and it has a situation we all can relate to and we all might remember: the last day before summer vacation in school when time just didn't want to pass.

Todays cartoons totally lack this charme.
