Okay...this is Art's first new topic in ages so bear with me...

If we could hoist a "Burbs Flag" on Burbs Day...what would it look like? Can't be as pathetic as a pretzel...can be as easy as a green light...

I can see it now...Rummy presses the button...the flag hoists..." but what's the emblem?

Over to you guys?
 
In my opinion it should be something which relates to all the neighbours and not just one specific neighbour. It should be a symbol which fits them all and is applicable to all of them. And have some dignity (so not just a pile of dog poo or something like that).

Hm, that's not easy! To be honest, I can't think of any symbol right now, I'd probably choose a simple picture which shows the cast together such as that fan-made picture right here:

affirmative - it would take some consideration... How about a femur bone? or a skull...nah that's a pirate's flag........
..erm....hmmmmmmmmmmm......
 
I also thought about a human femur but that was kind of too dark in my opinion. What about some...brownies!? No.
 
An overview picture of Mayfield Place with some dark/green sky and lightnings in the background (An idyllic place with dark secrets is the look i'm going for).
 
Is somebody creative and gifted enough to create an image like that?

Because something just came to my mind: What about us wearing the same T-Shirts this upcoming Burbs Day? Shirts which identify us as Burbanites and which are printed with this specific image?

We could all take a snapshot of us wearing that shirt on Burbs Day and post the images in a thread on this board. That would be like the ultimate salute to that movie, made by Burbs fans from all around the world, no matter if it's Sweden, the United States, the UK, Germany or wherever.

What do you think?

I just love the idea! I'm all for it, if maybe JoOngle (or some other creative soul) could make the layout it would be easy to find someone who could actually make T-shirts of it!

I'm all in neighbors, how about you guys?

As soon as we have the image, everyone could go to a local copy shop and make a personal t-shirt (so not one Burbanite has to produce them for all the others and then dispatch them).

All we need is the image itself. Someone could post it on this board, the others download it, go to the copy shop with their USB-stick and get the image printed on a white t-shirt (if we agree on the colour white).
