Friday 13th Reference?

I just wondered if this “guy with the enormous head / hydrocephalus” thing is a reference to Jason Vorhees, the Killer in the Friday 13th series. Considering the fact that this hydrocephalus guy is somewhere near a dank, wet cabin one might believe Carol is driving to Camp Crystal Lake.

So it might indeed be some kind of reference.
 
That's a possibility I never thought of that....your attention to detail is superb my friend...
 
Also, that story Art tells about Skip's murders - Skip lives over on Elm... "Nightmare on Elm St." much?
 
Well, look at all the horror - references we have found:

- possibly Friday 13th
- Nightmare on Elm Street
- Night of the Demon
- Gremlins
 
Ricky Butler also says: "Maybe...someone left the gate open".

I saw a movie at the cinema in 1987 called THE GATE. Which was a hole in a backyard some kids uncover.

The hole is a gateway to a hellish demon.

I don't see it. If Ray had said something like, "...waiting for that guy with the enormous head to get drunk and chop up some bikini clad co-eds with a machete..." then maybe, but I don't recall Jason ever getting drunk, or falling down any stairs..
 
He's a hydrocephalic and I don't think that you should make fun of him.

ROFL!!! i cant really picture him drunk.. oh god .. eurgh haha. LOL i can picture him falling down stairs though, lol
