I'm just wondering which one of the about 170 victims it was. I always mix them up.
 
The Jones town reference Carol makes, I believe is a reference to the cult that drank the koolaid and all died?

Also, an obvious horror movie reference is The Sentinel which Ricky Butler mentions. I watched it years back and found it to be a snooze fest.
