The "American Idol" show also exists here in Germany. It's called "Deutschland sucht den Superstar".

I just wanted to share a performance with you from the last saturday. Linda sings Joe Coc(k)er's "With a little help from my friends". I have to write his name that way since it will be censored if I don't :D. Unfortunately she was eliminated from the show, reaching the third place.

They said it was the first time a women sang this Coc(k)er song (which originally is a Beatles song). Considering that she is a 16 years old pupil, who was still attending school when not standing on stage, this is a truly stunning performance.

Ist das fraulein wirklich Deutsch? She sings like an American. Ausgezeichnett.

Freut mich, dass es Dir gefallen hat :)

Yes, she was born in Germany but her father is from Romania, that's why her name (Teodosiu) doesn't sound too German.

The song was actually originally by Ringo Starr I believe, one of the Beatles:p. And it won't censor it. :escher:

That was a Ringo tune. Hard to believe there are only two Beatles left - the Beatles were fantastic.

Ray, would I have said in my earlier statement "Sie singt wie eine Amerikanerin"?

If you didn't know any better you would swear she was an American. You guys do a much better job with foreign language than we do here - to our discredit.

Did you know that out of The Beatles there are two left - a bassist and drummer...and from The Who there is a lead guitarist and a vocalist.

Imagine that:

Roger Daltrey - Vocals
Paul McCartney - Bass
Pete Townshend - Guitar
Ringo Starr - Drums

How much would THAT line-up bring in? :)

This is absolutely correct.

Vielen Dank.

Art/Chris, I just want to see Zep on tour. Beatles/Who (Whootles?) would be fantastic but I gotta root for a Zep tour.

yeah...I'm with ya on that one... I think I might have to pull out the stops for a ticket...I don't think Jason Bonham does a bad job really - he's studied his father's technique definitely!

I always remember him on The Song Remains The Same as a small kid...twirling his drumstick on Mobey Dick, whilst John sat next to him playing the bongos.

According to Jason, quite often he'd be woken up in the middle of the night by John to play drums for his party guests...

Can you imagine? I would pay some serious dinero for tickets. Remember the one reunion performance? People were paying like $10,000 for tickets and they put a lot of restrictions on them. I wouldnt/couldn't go anything like that but I would pay $200 for a ticket to see Zep with Jason Bonham on drums.
