Habitual watcher Of The Burbs

You know guys, for realism, we could put some trash cans (clean, of course) in our living rooms and watch the Burbs while crouching behind them.
...using the inside of a kitchen roll for a scope (snipers use them for night vision you know)

"...we should sue them..."
Mayfield comes up with a winning idea..and maybe we should watch in the basement. (For those who have them of course...and heck..if you don't, find someone that does hahaha And make them watch it with you..and eat sardines.)
A few strobe lights to simulate lightning would be good, and of course, replace a couple of light bulbs in your house with green ones. (Am I getting carried away?)
Your proposals will cause a beautiful "Burbs Day 2008".

Walter, I have your dog.
And don't forget to put green light bulbs in your porches...

btw this year..I'm totally banging the heck out of garbage. I'll film it for proof.
So guys, we just need to coordinate our activities. Burbs day is ??? first/second Saturday in July?
Dudes. Fellow Burbanites. This surely demands a new, separate post? *Applauds Dan*
BURBS REALISM

"...we should sue them..."
Just curious...how did you guys come to decide on the date for Burbs Day? Is July when production started? Ended? Video released? Ricky Butler said the movie was released to theaters on Feb 17...we are quickly approaching the 19 year anniversary! Yesss!! *pumps fist like Ricky Butler*

I'm gonna staple his @ss shut!
If my memory is correct, we schedulded this date back in 2004 on the imdb - page when I began to become a Burbanite. Indeed, the Burbs Day had been invented by some unknown wise men before but for some reason wasn't celebrated anymore. So I proposed to begin celebrating it again and made the proposal of celebrating it on the first saturday of July.

First --> easy to remember

Saturday --> Enough time for celebration if you don't have to work on saturdays

July --> Good chances of having a sunny, hot day in the suburbs.

One of the imdb - users didn't agree on the first saturday since he/she had no time so I proposed the second saturday and he/she agreed. Since then, it remained the second saturday.

Walter, I have your dog.
And it is close to one of the holidays that the Burbs could have happened around - July 4th.

Thanks for the applause Art. :D Now let me go find that post
I'm watching The Burbs again right now.

that is all :)
