Any music do this to you? Or send a shiver down your spine?

I've known 2 such occassions.

One is when the choir of angels kicks in at the end of MARATHON by RUSH

The other is the guitar solo to HOLIDAYS IN THE SUN by the SEX PISTOLS.

What about y'all?

Mainly certain soundtracks from movie have done that to me. And pretty much any Jeff Buckley song. Including the live performances..especially "What Will You Say" He performs with such emotion. It's amazing.

Can't think of any....nope...

a little off topic but lately I've been setting my alarm clock to go off to the radio instead of the buzzer. It's a much more pleasant way to be jarred out of your sleep. :p Problem is I'm starting to hear these cool new songs for the first time while I'm still in that half-dream state and by the time I can wake myself up the song is over and I forget what I just heard! It's driving me crazy!

I know what you mean, Bonnie. Jeff Buckley is a way of life I think... he sings and plays with pure earnesty and emotional vulnerability. Not everyday listening stuff though I don't think, you really have to sit there and listen or you're not doing it justice!

Amen to that. You do need to sit and listen. Just feel it. I'm glad to see another Buckley fan. :) Listen to this, Lameo. The words, the music, the voice...it's just...no words to describe it.

About the alarm clock. I actually HAVE to have it on the radio, because I'm such a heavy sleeper, nothing else will wake me up except for the radio blasting. haha In fact it scared my cat off the bed a few times.

What I hate...is when a country song comes on...and then i keep hearing over and over during my shower and through out the day until I'm ready to blow my brains out.

hahaha wow way off subject.

There's one song which is able to do that because of it's sheer beauty:

It's a very sad song as well. I just looked on songfacts.com

McLachlan wrote this about a drug-addict's struggles with the world. The "angel" symbolizes the drugs the addict gives in to repeatedly.

As McLachlan explained on VH1 Storytellers, this song is about the Smashing Pumpkins touring keyboard player Jonathan Melvoin, who overdosed on heroin and died in 1996. McLachlan explained that there's nothing constant when you are on the road; everything becomes the same.

Sometimes this sends chills down my spine. Kate Bush's voice is so hauntingly beautiful.

"think of me", "point of no return" and the part of "down once more/track down this murderer" where the three of them sing three different things at once. <3 from The Phantom of the Opera (2004) .. gawd. <3

"we never said our love was ever-green ..etc" <33

"dont throw your life away for my sake" AHH

Eagles - Hotel California.

Dire Straits - Sultans of swing (a guitar solo almost at the end /end of middle i think)
