Halloween 2014

If your girlfriend can handle you, Dave - then she must be a special girl. ;)

She's probably a keeper, that's for sure. Glad you guys had such a fun time. You should post a video (if you recorded one) on youtube if you would like to share. Better than a wall-of-text (because it seems like you had THAT much fun).

The best friend and I did a haunted house last night--it was awesome! Probably the best I've ever been to. Plus, we got to pet an adorable rat there, which was great and kind of made our night. :)

I'm trying to convince him to help me host a Halloween party and dress up...he says he doesn't want to wear a costume, but I think I can change his mind.

And I finally have a good contender for my Halloween costume: rockabilly pin-up zombie. :)

A Demon Princess petting a rat and calling it adorable, that sounds about right.

Aw, I wish they had a haunted house around here. I've always wanted to go to one, but never got the chance. They do have a haunted cornfield, though, and the cornfield is a maze, so that could could be cool.

I'm glad you guys are having fun this October.

I'm a big fan of the rockabilly pinup look. So a zombie version of that sounds pretty hot to me :)

Sneaked in aother horror'ish movie this weekend. The Stepford Wives remake. Hadn't seen it or the original before, but it was an entertaining watch with a great idea/concept. Put the 1975 original on my to-watch-list.

Oh and the pumpkin carving is done :D

Cool, how long does one pumpkin take to carve?

I've never done that...I've...I've never carved a pumpkin in my entire life...I've never done that.

It depends on how good you want it to look. All you do is cut a circle in the top, pull out the pulpy, seedy mess, then carve the face/picture. So maybe a half an hour, unless you're really meticulous, then maybe an hour.

I once got a frozen pumpkin. Rather than let it thaw, I decided to carve it anyways. It took me half an hour just to pull the seeds out because they were frozen.

yeah, about an hour is right. Hardest/longest part is getting all the insides cleaned out.

I saw a fair amount of trick or treaters yesterday when driving home.

No trick or treaters at my house though :( Well, that means I can have all the candy myself :D

Same here, I actually caved in and bought a lot of candy for the trick & treaters...

...but no one came...weird...that's a first.
