Due to a high amount of remaining vacation days and some stressful days at work I decided to take a week off. And no, I'm not going to the lake or something I just want to spend a couple of days at home in my backyard (not kidding, it's my full intention to stay at home and relax a little bit here).
This morning I was fetching my newspaper and my breakfast rolls and on my way home decided to take a little longer stroll through my neighbourhood. Clear blue sky, the sun shining, the birds singing. It was so peaceful. The atmosphere of a sunny morning in Suburbia almost relaxes me more than spending a week on some beach abroad.
And all those little things you could watch while this little stroll: People taking their dog for a walk in the forest, some joggers (even an old guy who must have been about 80 years old and who was being greeted by a lady asking him where his wife is whereupon he replied she was in her gymnastics lesson
), mailman bringing the mail etc. There also was a scene which must have been a daughter moving out and her parents helped her loading her belongings into the moving truck (I don't know if it was parked outside all dayyyyy?).
Anyway, all I want to say is: I love Suburbia, especially in the summer time and especially if you have a few days off and stroll through it on a sunny morning while all the others are at work.
