I just moved over the past few days from downtown Los Angeles to an apartment in Hollywood. I am only about 3 miles from Universal Studios where The 'Burbs was filmed. When I can get some more cash I'll make a trip over there and take some new pictures of Colonial Street.

So far I haven't seen any strange neighbors, but I've only been here a few days so we'll see. However, in the lobby on the couch I do see a guy sleeping there in the afternoons, so who knows. This apartment building looks more like a hotel (which it sort of was) from the Silent Hill games, it was built in 1923 by Paramount Pictures who owned it so I'm sure it's had it's strange neighbors, haha. I'll keep an "eagle eye" out though for strangeness!

Oh, one of my neighbors that I did see is an actor on that show True Blood on HBO. I don't know if he was on the set but he still looked all grungy... which is a bit strange since he was walking to his apratment...




 
Yeah if you're able to post a few pics it would be cool.
 
Nice! I'm looking forward to seeing pictures of my yard! Keep us posted soldier.
 
I saw Sam's dad, Joe Lee. He looked just like he did on the show... almost homeless in a way. It was quite funny.

I'll post some pictures as soon as I'm all settled in.

One of my dream vacations would be to tour "Mayfield Place," or at least it would have been in its heydey. It's changed so much now some of the appeal is lost, but it would still be cool to see!

I was there last year (I posted some pics in another thread) and it still is very recognizable. Some things are different but not much has changed. It just looks a bit more "decorated" these days than 21 years ago. The house colors are also brighter.

Cool pics... tho too much has changed on the street to suit me, but I'm glad they keep those trademark lamp posts! I want lamp posts like those on my street...
 
I was at Universal Friday night. Unfortunately I didn't get to go on the street but we drove past it. It was dark so I wasn't able to take pics. Will try again next time.
