If the Burbs had been filmed today

I'd probably take Ben Stiller as Ray Peterson since he has often played normal guys who get in crazy and awkward situations (like the poor Gaylord Fokker).

I agree with you 100% there I think that is the perfect choice. Why didn't I think of that? Ben's cool. Like in Something About Mary. He's got the serious looks and the drama and is also hilarious. And he's got the hair for it.

Paris Hilton could play the part of Landru, this would fall right in line with one of Art's other posts.

Steve Carell as Ray?

WOW...I was thinking the EXACT same thing! He's one of the funniest guys in showbiz today. Hmmm... a new cast for a remake might include:

Bruce Dern should be brought back to play the part of Walter (would be especially funny in relation to the scene of poop in Rumsfield's yard)
Michael Richards should do the garbage men shtick

That's all I've got at the moment...

These two most definitely. I think Michael Richards would be great as a garbie

I agree I think Steve Carrell or Ben Stiller could pull that off.

I also think that Kramer and Newman would be awesome playing the garbage men another great choice.

Tom Arnold as Art? I don't know.

Christopher Walken as Rummy? Or as the the good DR!

Haha, good idea.

Although the guy who played Ray was much better than the one who played Art.

LOL pair of nutters!

Wow they really like the Burbs Hahahaha

Yeah 'Ray' was cool...but 'Art' was as wooden as the klopek's porch. And his acting was about as solid.

Yeah he was cool. Wouldn't like to see him go on Rummy's lawn though!
