I realize this is a old post,,, oh what the ....
First Ben stiller is a excellent Ray. as for Art im not sure. I do disagree the man who played him was a poor actor, I think he was fantastic. I do believe hes under rated. For Rumsfeld i think chuck noris may be a good pick if he could do comedy. . Carol? I have to say Carrie Fisher did a good job. Im glad she was able to do something other then star wars. Demi More i suppose could do it but i think she may be to old. Any ideas of a attractive brunette actress in her child bearing years? Sad thing is i cant think of any good actors who may be able to pull this off today. If a remake was done they would need to choose people reminiscent of the old to satisfy this Burbs fan. Maybe Julia Duffy? I suppose kirstie alley could play Carol. She is a good comedic actress. AS for Bonnie i guess they could try to give poor Paris Hilton one more try at acting. Though shes not voluptuous she is to many today's idea of a sex kitten and may be able to play the part. For the klopec dad> Thats a hard one. I may have to think on that one. Ricky is another hard choice. If they remade it they would need to steer away from political correctness as much as possible. Try to stay true to the original story line. I think though if they could get the director of the burbs to agree a squeal would be better....
