in 2004 I started writing a Burbs sequel (in German) which dealt with a fishing trip Art, Mark, Ray, Ricky and Dave took.

Once arrived at the Delvaney's house, they start spying on the neighbour with the enormous head. And then one morning after a stormy night Ricky and Dave are suddenly vanished.

LOL... see, this is exactly what I mean. There are so many new, yet familiar directions you can go with this idea that would stay true to the original concept. I used to think there'd be no chance of any more Burbs movies after all these years but I'm not so sure anymore. Hollywood sure has been going back to the well time and again lately to tap on its past successes. Didn't they just release a straight-to-DVD sequel to 1983's Wargames? It only took that 25 years...LOL!

It would be great!!!My husband has always wanted me to write a sequel script for The Burbs...I've already written 7 scripts for a comedy show, that he loved...The bad thing is I've never done anything with my scripts, because I 'm not sure how to protect them from being stolen...<center><hr width="100%"/></center></blockquote></span>

Thanks...That's cool!

Write a prequel. Yiu should copyright your scripts to protect them: http://ezinearticles.com/?How-to-Copyright-a-Screenplay&id=200943

Carol's at her mother's with Dave and Vince...<center><hr width="100%"/></center></blockquote></span>

I love those ideas...I could build off of them, for a script! The gears in my head are starting to spin...

oh man, I loved War Games! "want to play a game"

I haven't seen War Games since I was a kid.
I should watch it again sometime.

Hey,I just noticed something else about the Klopeks garage,
they have a automatic door opener.
I wonder if Ray installed it for them..
