Oh sorry, I always forget you guys use the metric system. MPG = miles per gallon.
You know, how far you can drive on one gallon of gas.

Is it KPL for you? kilometers per liter?

Ah I see. Yes, we use kilometers and liters.

But here we don't ask how many kilometers we can drive with one liter (which would equal your MPG system).

Instead we ask "How many liters of fuel does the car need to drive 100 kilometers?"

The Hyundai i20 needs about 4 to 5 liters of fuel in order to drive 100 kilometers. That's very economic. Some of the more expensive Mercedes and BMW cars need about 13 or 14 liters per 100 kilometers.

So when you buy feul, do you have to buy a certain amount of liters? As in, "I bought 10 liters yesterday, so I only need to buy 5 liters today."

No, no. You're absolutely free to buy as much fuel as you want. Some gas stations have minimum amounts of money you have to accomplish (like at least 20 Euro). But in general no one tells you how much to refuel.

yeah ok, I'll buy some petrol. Sure, no problem, let's go.
