More green lights

I'm not sure if it's my copy but when Ray breaks the glass on the Klopeks back door with the wad of straw, that whole section of glass lights up green.

Watching the movie last night I realized there are many green light scenes.More than I thought.I think it's cool.It give a mysterious effect.Speaking of green things. It's not at first in the scene of the movie, where Mark is by the fireplace. But when Warner, comes up out of the basement, and Mark is arranging Warner's painting. Then Warner, fixes it.While all this is going on there is a little troll doll, with green hair on the side part of the mantle. :D

I think there is a geen parakeet on a table in the Klopeks house also.

No, no one on the block does.

But there are various theories.

Here's mine:

As the saying goes:

"Red sky in the morning, sailor take warning. Red sky at night, sailor's delight." This is the original saying.

--> Here we have two different conditions. One is positive for the sailor, the other one is negative.

"Green sky in the morning, neighbour take warning. Green sky at night, neighbour take flight."

--> If "take flight" means something like "run away" or "escape", then we have two negative conditions. No matter if it's morning or night, green lights are ALWAYS a bad sign (for the neighbours). So whenever there's a green light it means: be careful! And usually the green lights are somehow connected to: The Klopeks!

Maybe Olsen / Dante wanted to give a hint that the Klopeks are really sinister beings and not as innocent as Bonnie and Carol believed they'd be.

Ectoplasm is supposed to be green isn't it?

Hmmm I'm leaving myself open here, but that famous shot in the Excorcist when the priestis in the fog outside the house...is that a green light/fog situation?

That shot was very atmospheric. One of these images you never forget, although it's not specifically creepy. It's just...well shot. :)

So have you all noticed the green lights that are in Gremlins? I just watched that yesterday and noticed there is a lot of green lights like the Burbs. Maybe Dante has a thing for green lights?

This could be possible. Any green lights in "The Howling", "Explorers", "Innerspace"?
