Not sure if we discussed this before, but for those who are podcast inclined, Joe Dante is co-hosting the Trailers from Hell podcast titled "Movies That Made Me". From their site:

"Filmmakers and entertainers discuss the movies that inspired them. Hosted by Oscar nominated screenwriter and TFH Guru Josh Olson. "

So far, Joe has been on each podcast along side Josh with his iPhone not on vibrate. The Sci-Fi ring tone periodically reminding us that he is a busy guy but has time to scroll through the Apple defaults to find the best fit :)

No 'Burbs talk as of yet. They let the guest drive the topics and conversation. Some discussion of Matinee to date.

I don't know how everyone consumes their pod so I'll just leave this link:

I am enjoying it, finding new movies from an different era than I would normally pursue to add to my collection and enjoy.

I particularly enjoyed the one with Fred Dekker, director of "Monster Squad" which is also a fantastic movie with a great "suburban horror atmosphere" to call it that way. Check it out in case you haven't seen it yet.

They recently had Bruce Dern on the podcast. I was hoping for a lot of reminiscing about the shoot but there wasn't much talk of our beloved movie. I recall Bruce mentioning that Joe advising him to "just have fun" and not be so serious during filming.

Bruce, for being 85, has a phenomenal memory. He was recalling very specific details about conversations he had and places and events from all throughout his career. Highly recommend this episode even if we didn't get any 'Burbs tidbits.
