Wrong Turn I consider to be the best of the newer so-called horrors (Hostel, Descent, etc...). Hills Have Eyes was a pretty good remake. House on Haunted Hill original you mean? That's cool. The remake was given away free here in the UK at HMV...such was its value.
Don't go near it. It's purile SH*T. Unbelieveable. In fact, to me it totally symbollises the depths of how crap some remakes are, parasyting on the backs of decent originals.
Yeah I loved the Wrong Turn, very entertaining, though ripped off the Hills Have Eyes with the off-road, tyres-bursting, inbreds. But very good. Great acting too by the lead guy.
Descent is one of the ones I'd put with the latest batch...Descent, Hostel, Silent Hill etc....didn't do anything for me.
hahaha I watched that with my cousin, and was latched onto her practically the whole time. Yeah. I'm a scardy cat.
it was the first horrormovie i actually screamed at. i've only seen it once, but i still remember it as a very good movie. scaryyy .. the descent didnt really do anything for me. some parts were horrible, but meh..some of those girls were so annoying.
Silent Hill has traumatized me.. but then again, I love the games. I have Silent Hill 4, but I've never played it. i force my friend to play it for me. LOL. but it's one of those movies that you have to..uhm "connect" with ya know. if you're afraid of certain things, certain movies will scare ya.
i've seen him in videoclips and such from previous games.. but when i saw him on the big screen...i screamed like a crazy person (as did my friends) and we squirmed and hugged each other so much, we all felt like leaving the cinema.
again.. just one of those things. (it could be that both my friends and my sis and i all grew up in enviroments that looked like bad silenthill-ish. with the big empty buildings and the screeching and the greyness etc etc.) - again, it just goes to show that what scares us is as individual as what makes us laugh and cry.
Courtney Gains (Hans Klopek) is going to be in the Rob Zombie version of Halloween. Are you guys going to give it a chance when it comes out in August? I think I might, because it sort of acts as a prequel as well.
I've never seen that, is it good? Also, I saw the movie Poltergeist on the video store shelf. Is it absolutely terrifying? I ask this because it's rated PG in the standards of 1982.
