My Tope Ten Horror Faves

i've seen him in videoclips and such from previous games.. but when i saw him on the big screen...i screamed like a crazy person (as did my friends) and we squirmed and hugged each other so much, we all felt like leaving the cinema.

again.. just one of those things. (it could be that both my friends and my sis and i all grew up in enviroments that looked like bad silenthill-ish. with the big empty buildings and the screeching and the greyness etc etc.) - again, it just goes to show that what scares us is as individual as what makes us laugh and cry.

Courtney Gains (Hans Klopek) is going to be in the Rob Zombie version of Halloween. Are you guys going to give it a chance when it comes out in August? I think I might, because it sort of acts as a prequel as well.

I've never seen that, is it good? Also, I saw the movie Poltergeist
on the video store shelf. Is it absolutely terrifying? I ask this because it's rated PG in the standards of 1982.

Poltergeist has some really creepy moments. It's been a while since I last saw it but I remember the movie was giving me the creeps. Recommended.

by peter jackson, right?? featuring
michael j fox? if so, very good movie!

I have to pay homage to Poltergeist. One of those seminal movies. Not a fave but, respect.

BUT...hmm I again draw people's attention to REMAKES. Now. Halloween. I'm afraid, to me, is on such hallowed ground you just don't go there. But apparently the director spoke with John Carpenter and he said "Go ahead, make it your own" NOOOOOOOOOO Halloween is a cool movie. Why remake it FFS!!!!! Sorry dudes, Im venting spleen here, but why try to remake a superb, classic horror flick? Hills Have Eyes... Halloween...House On Haunted Hill...The Haunting...when will this end????

Go ahead Art, vent.

I personally believe they make these remakes (most of the time poorly) just to add a gore factor. That sort of irritates me.

I saw the new version of "The Hills Have Eyes" first and though I thought it was a good movie, I watched the original recently and like that one even better.
