Out of Burbs experience

Anyone ever have something happen that made them think of the Burbs, either in their neighborhood or elsewhere?

A few years back one of my neighbors almost burned down his house. It was live. There were people from all around plus firetrucks and ambulances. I took a picture of it and titled it "the day my neighborhood became the Burbs"
 
I remember that...I remember reading about that...they tore down the soda fountain that Fall...well...no they didn't, but I remember your picture!

 
I must have been 8, 9 years old. I still have that picture somewhere. If I can find it I will post it. The resemblance to that last street scene is remarkable - except we weren't on a cul-de-sac
 
Yeah I remember the people on the streets etc....that was cool....you didn't deliberately do that to get the coolest ever burbs-like-street shot did you?

 
Well, we had a scene a couple of years ago which resembled the "Queenie takes a dump on Rumsfield's lawn" scene. The little annoying neighbour's dog used to crap on the other neighbour's lawn. So he got furious and cursed over the fence in a noisy way. I was sitting on my breakfast table and was able to observe the scene behind the curtains.

That was way before I watched the Burbs for the first time.
 
Did the neighbour have the best lawn on the block, because he trained his dog to crap in his neighbour's yard?

HA HA yeah, I climbed over their fence after cutting off their power and tried to burn their house down while they were gone for the day. Actually, no, that was all their own doing. Incredible.
 
You posted it on the old 'Burbs site right? I remember that. It was a cool picture...well except for the fact that their house became a hideous..raging..inferno.*sniff*
 
yeah, well, yeah except for that one small fact. But it was pretty cool. I tried to post the picture but failed miserably.
