I've started a project I have no time for nor the skill. But it has started none the less.
Goal: Recreate the Pizza Dude Logo seen on the side of the delivery van so I can print stickers or t-shirts.

At first I thought I could copy a shot of it out of the movie file and have someone vectorize it. But it is too grainy. So it must be recreated by hand. I'm working with my daughter who has the artistic gene that I lack to hand draw it.

I'm just printing out a variety of angles for her to use as source and inspiration. We are at a point where maybe you all can help. We are debating about what is on his head. Is that a Chefs Hat, Hairdo? Is he tossing pizza dough? She says its more like a Beret. What do you all think?

I somehow like the fact that you're investing time into something that approximately 99,99% of the world's population will not care about

First I thought it's a chef's hat but the more I looked at it the more it seemed to me that it's indeed a hairdo.

In the case of a chef's hat, they should have used the classic one in my opinion like this one:

However it looks more like an chef's hat in the style it is more often used in Japanese restaurants:

So I go with the hairdo. The grainy picture reminds me of the cover of an old Gameboy game I used to play in the past, that's probably why. There was a tomato on the cover with a hairdo like that:

We also think it looks a lot like that Japanese style hat, or in the states here it is the old timey Burger joint paper hat:

My daughter also thinks it could be a wedge of cheese? No critiquing yet, we have a ways to go still :

It sorta looks like a lid to a pan to me…it’s concave and has the little knob on top you would use to handle it if it were hot. Hmmmmmm

Great fluff, I can't figure out the name, I will check all my files in case I find something.The more I look at the logo, the more I see "Pizza Dude" .

Yes, I have gone frame by frame through that sequence and checked the work print, which the van does not appear at all, for any better shot of this.

We're aiming for red bubbly, balloon like font for the "Pizza Dude" text to the left of the actual Pizza Dude.

If we can do it, I'd love to do a yellow shirt with the red line going through it just like the van.

I checked the alternate ending to see if we can find more there, but it doesn't include the Pizza Dude.

Man, those big black eyes are sort of scary...

The Black eyes is another point still being discussed. I thought they were sunglasses. Dudes wear sunglasses. It sort of looks like there is a black line going out from his right eye that would be the part that goes over his right ear. But left side of his face doesn't seem to have one? The closest shot we get is this one below and it doesn't look like there is connection between the black eyes that would indicate sunglasses. So for now they are eyes....

The reflection is similar to the ones on the back of the shoes.
I guess if it was shades, they would have a different shape, not round.
