Political Correctness Gone MAD... UK-US...or wherever

I really do feel the sh*t's gonna hit the fan on this one. It's shapin' up. I've never known anything like this. It'll go so far, then something will snap. I'm of a firm belief that a revolution now and then is cool. It's like society's pressure cooker. However. I really don't think our mass culture; the West's way of life - our traditions, norms, values, beliefs, ideals, customs, attitudes and principles have ever been under such a threat ever before. Not even via Communism.

What REALLY gets me about all this is WE currently have the upper hand (with the balance of power). And I can see this being eroded. (not so) slowly but surely.

IF I wanted to go to Iran or Syria, and I demanded benefits, a house, free health care, and wanted to build churches and spread Christianity...and at the same time I demanded of Syria that everything religious they do (showing flags, holding school plays, etc) offended me, do you really think they'd say "Oh hey everyone. We're offending Art. Let's stop this and completely alter our way of life. We'll take down our national flag as it may offend him. We'll stop our traditions". Oh yeah you can see that. And let's add one more fact to this. If I also then preached openly on the streets, of striking down the infidels who were housing me, providing me with money etc...Just as we've had here in Britain in Finchley. Oh man...when you look at it...?

what surprises me though, whenever the government in norway wants to change anything - nobody ever does anything about it if they dont like it.. we all just sit here and go "oh fiddles, they're banning this and that.. ohwell." *crycry* - but then again, i'm one of them who just sits around. LOL!

then again, I'm prone to doing illegal (minor) stuff, like growing weeds in my house or something (haha) - and you know why? not because i like it, i wouldn't know cause i haven't tried. but because the police would never know. unless i started selling it and carrying it around, they would never notice. It's not like they just barge in a random house and go OMG IS THERE DRUGS HERE PERHAPS? I've never done anything illegal before. I dont know anyone who abuses drugs. The closest I would be to someone who uses drugs would be like "i know someone who knows someone who used to take drugs" - that kind of stuff. So how on earth would the cops have any clue whatsoever? I know my grandparents, on this lot actually, used to have opium poppies! And they are actually not illegal I think. (in norway) - in norway you can have them as decoration... but again, who would know? LOL I actually want to get some of them, cause my dad told me how beautiful the ones they had were (his dad had a greenhouse) and the colours were so vibrant and pretty, lol.

The hypocrisy is amazing. If you look at the situation in Iraq, regardless of your view of the war, you see the insurgents shooting and killing from mosques and no one says a word, but if that same mosque gets damaged by return fire then all hell breaks loose. Women can't be searched, yet to take advantage of this, women are now being used as suicide bombers. Those who are crying out the loudest because they are being offended are the first to disregard the fact that they offend others. They take advantage of the very freedoms they would do away with if they were in power. Many do not think like this, but a large minority do.

There's the rub.
