The casting is absolutley perfect but who would you choose to play your favorite characters if the original cast had never existed? Include retro and modern actors.

Ray Peterson - Chevy Chase

Carol Peterson: Jamie Lee Cyrtis

Rumsfield: R. Lee Ermey

Bonnie Rumsfield: Kate Upton

Art Weingartner: Dan Aykroyd

Ricky Butler: Will Forte as a kid

Dr. Werner Klopek: Sir Patrick Stewart

Uncle Reuben: Vincent Price

Walter: Christoph Waltz


I would love to see your fantasy cast.







 
I was trying to find the post in which we discussed an alternate (modern) cast since I'm pretty sure we had that discussion somewhen. Unfortunately I wasn't able to find it, so if any other Burbanite finds it, feel free to post the link to this discussion here.

And GreenSky, some good choices there.

However, with this cast you'd probably need quite a huge budget :-)
 
I apologize for reposing the subject. Typical new person behavior. If you ever find the post please let me know. I would love to see what other fans have listed.
 
Jamie Lee Curtis is a nice choice I haven't heard before. In 1989 she would have worked great (although no one in any role would be better than the originals, of course!)
