We had a fire drill the other day at the office. We had to assemble out in the parking lot. There was a person with a bullhorn directing us on where to stand. He was just messing around with the bullhorn and this sound like a police siren comes out. I turned to my coworkers and said "siren mode". No one got it.

Then over the Labor Day weekend we were in St. Louis just seeing the sights. In one commercial center we passed there was a fenced area containing some short garbage dumpsters. Inside this fenced area there was a guy with one of those big snow shovels banging on something inside one of the dumpsters. I turned to my wife and said "I've never seen that..." - you know the rest of the quote.

I know you guys have to have similar stories as many quotes get thrown out here.

About six months ago,at work,we were having a safety meeting.During the introduction, the instructer actually said "my middle name is safety."I,of course, immedeitely shouted out,"I thought your middle name was Luis." He asked me why I thought that...I thought it was a shame that nobody got it.

That's funny as hell! I'm looking forward to our next fire drill! I drop The 'Burbs quotes on my wife all the time and she just gives me the "Carol" look.

LOL!!!

It was a shame. I laughed my butt off when I read that. If only we could have been there.

Whenever I'm invited somewhere and there's coffee and someone aks me if I want some sugar or milk I cover my coffe cup with my hand, staring into nowhere.

So far no one ever connected this to "The Burbs". Maybe it's too subtle?

A couple of days ago I walked in my bedroom to find my wife letting our dog lay on the bed,
(which I dont allow) So without even thinking I said, "That peice of scum barking rat of yours
has taken his last nap on my bed! If I find him up there one more time, just once,
i'll get him and staple his feet to the floor!" HAHA Was this a Burbs moment?
