Watched it last weekend and have to admit: I liked it. I'm even afraid it will become one of my "Guilty Pleasure" movies. Sure, I love the 80's rock music and that's what makes this movie so (re-)watchable for me. Usually I'm not the greatest Tom Cruise fan but in this movie...he was really good. Didn't know he can sing this well.

Here's him singing "Dead or Alive":

So it's one I recommend, especially if you like bands like Foreigner, Whitesnake, Journey, Poison etc.

I do love some good 80s music. I'll have to keep an out for this movie to be on Netflix or television.

By the way Ray, you typed that you are usually not the greatest "Tom Hanks" fan. I think you meant Tom Cruise, or is there something we should know?

Yeah, keep an eye on it but also keep in mind: It's based on a musical, so yes it's goofy sometimes and the characters spontaneously start singing for no obvious reason.

Whoa, thanks for pointing out that "Tom Hanks" thing, I immediately corrected it in the original text since I of course was referring to Tom Cruise and NOT Tom Hanks. Getting confused with all the Toms.
