Rumsfield's self-confidence

This seems like a double-edged matter. On the one hand Rumsfield looks like a very self - confident man ("RUMSFIELD 's the name. Didn't quite get yours, sonny!" / Tackling down Pinnochio etc.) but on the other hand there is stuff like "Why don't you climb up there? - "It's really high!" or his jumpily behaviour when the thunderstorm comes at night.

Do you think his loud-mouthed appearance ("My taxes pay your salary!") ("I'm gonna staple his ass shut!") is just some kind of disguise?
 
and "Klopeks....WITH COPPERS!!!" and when Art and Ray are bickering loudly with the garbies you see him trying to calm everyone down....

Hmmm just noticed...he always seems confident when with female company...showing off?

He is tough around those he perceives to be weaker but wimps out when the going gets tough.
 
i never really noticed that he flinches when there's that thunderstorm. hm. i just thought of it as him going "wtf where did this come from?" lmao :D

but i've always wondered why he doesnt climb up that pole. sitting on the roof with guns = okay.. but climing a pole? LOL ohwell.

maybe he doesn't like confontation (as he's like OMG COPPERS) but wether or not he's comfortable with it, he'll stick up for himself and his friends.

he seems to lay low with the police,so maybe he's actually more afraid of them finding something illegal in his house perhaps, rather than actually being just a fraidycat, lol. xD (if that makes sense)
 
That's one of the theories.

Who knows what Mark has stashed in HIS basement? Maybe some illegal weapons? He never seems to go to work. He could be retired military - probably so - but maybe he supplements his income with some weapon sales.
