SPACE SHUTTLE

Wow, this is so cool, I want to go there, too.

I've been to the Kennedy Space Center in 1999 and this simulator wasn't there. It must have been built afterwards. We saw space shuttles, moon buggies, a simulation of the 1969 moon landing but unfortunately THIS was not on the list.

What a magic moment when the device opened and you were able to catch a glimpse at earth's surface. It looked realistic and overall seems to be a very good simulation.

Pretty slick. What could humanity accomplish if we just cut out all the BS and worked together?

Who knows?

We're still a long, long way from space cruising I'm afraid...they still can't guarantee getting their own astronauts back alive.. :omg:

I almost don't dare to write this and there is also a little irony behind it but:

What could humanity accomplish if we had another cold war?

The shape of the world at the minute...

Okay RUSSIA vs U.S.A. 3 recent warnings from the Russians....

Then there's Iran's nuclear effort.
Palestine/Israel.
I guess North Korea's been addressed.
India/Pakistan.
Russia and Britatin have the worst diplomatic ties since the Cold War.

Russia and China are staunch allies. China is rapidly becoming the new Superpower. It's economy is increasing at an alarming rate.

As for the so-called 'war on terror'...

Rather than 'al-Qaeda' I'm more concerned about my civil liberties being dissolved under the name of 'security' and the increase in surveillance. The UK is watched like no other.

I had such great hopes for Russia after the USSR disintegrated. I keep hoping Russia will turn out all right (of course, it takes two to mess up a relationship usually). They seem to be making progress, but I don't trust Putin at all.
