The summer is approaching and a special time of the year is just around the corner. How do you plan to celebrate 'Burbs day?

I'm on the look for a new grill and I'm hoping for good weather as the summer will be spent in the back yard.

Man it's still freezing cold here in Germany so I really look forward to summer finally arriving. I will have 5 days of vacation at the end of May (my first days off this year) and this will be the first time this year to put on my vacation togs.

Maybe until July 10 I'll get me some VR glasses and the be able to watch The Burbs (maybe with some other Burbanites) in a virtual cinema this year. This might be cool.

Hope everyone else is doing well, too?!
 
We're warmed up here in California already, have my two shots done and ready for summer!

If there is no VR viewing happening by then, I'll try and setup the projector in the backyard and watch on a big sheet or something.
 
Definitely looking forward to summer - gonna fire up the grill and cool off with some blood shakes!

I'm also planning to set up a projector outside to watch movies and/or Phillies games. I'm hoping some neighbors will just bring a chair or blanket and come over to watch
 
The summer in Sweden arrived 2 days ago, and it attacked - literally, went from 6c to 21c in a heartbeat, the weather services said it would be only a few days but it's super hot here now, and doesn't seem to change at all.

Time for me to get that sandwich at the deli and perhaps a garage door opener, I've been planning to do that for the longest time.

I got this weird neighbor tho...
 
Weather is also pretty cold/damp here in Denmark. Can't seem to do anything with my hair!?

On burbs day I will definitely fix the BBQ and drink a couple of hundred beers outside. I have a 28" CRT TV in my workshop I might haul outside to watch the burbs, in the shade, on VHS.
 
This makes me wonder, what was the date during the story ?
The movie was filmed between 19 May 1988 - 3 July 1988 so
maybe this explains why we can see a calendar in Walter's kitchen,
displaying the month june or july, it's hard to be certain, I read june.
Also hard to tell the day, maybe there are markings ?
