Just wanted to say thank you to everyone who posts here. This place is just what I need sometimes. Like a lot of other Burbs fans, I'm on a constant hunt for something else that gives me the same feeling as the film. Nothing else ever really has, but this place is different. This place and the people who post here make me feel like the film does.

Thanks, everyone! And keep posting.

No, thank you! This place wasn't as active as usual before you, DemonPrincess, and Dave Peterson showed up. Not to mention Fred888.

Some neighbors don't come around as often as they used to, but it does always seem to get a bit more active this time of year.

No problem it's nothing. With this new bluray filled with tons of awesome bonuses, there is gonna be some discussions out there. We are waiting for these stuffs sinces years, sometimes decades.

Yeah, we're pretty much of a real neighbourhood here, just in a virtual way :)

I can only confirm what Uncle Reuban mentioned before, this place was very quiet for a while before our recent Burbanites joined. People come, people go.

I joined this board back in June 2007 about two months after it was founded by Bonnie Rumsfield and I can tell you: there is no one left from the original group of people I used to hang around with on this board. Bonnie Rumsfield, Art Weingartner, hunkychunkymonkey, Mayfield669, yellowtangerine, Rays Yard, ...and many others. It's always a pity but I did my best to keep this board alive although so many people left and didn't even say goodbye.

Did you ever talk to any of them via email or anything? They must still be fans, so it's strange they never come back. It's sad reading through all the old threads and seeing so many people who were all so active here a few years ago. I'd like to meet them!

Actually, at the time I'm writing this post, this place has never been so active. There are currently 5 people on the forum!

I think I came in on the tail end of the "Golden Years". Those people were still around when I joined, but Art Weingartner seemed to be more active than others, along with you.

Let's begin a new Golden Age of the forums.

I think a great big thank you to EVERYONE in here is in place too. :D

Funnily, this forum kind of makes my home here in Sweden feel like the Burbs, you really do add to the "mood" of the place.

I once reached out to Art and he came back for two or three posts, then went again and never came back. I know, they must still be Burbanites but for some reason they don't really seem to be interested in posting here anymore...You never know, maybe something even happened to them. Hope, they are doing well and no one buried them in their backyard.

Affirmative. I think it's a natural process to have more and less activity on a message board in the course of time. Even once the activity will become less, let's try to always keep this board alive somehow.

That would be a fitting way for a Burbanite to go!
