Ray Peterson mentioned the website ghost study.com, so I would like to ask who here believes these videos are pure hogwash...Are they all fake?

I have watched some ghost videos that appear to be credible..

I believe that there are powers out there we can not explain. It might be the case that spirits are among us. Just because we can't see things doesn't mean they don't exist. Nonetheless it seems a little bit scary to believe that they visit us, watch us, are among us. And some of them may even be evil.

Well here are a few galleries from ghoststudy I found to be really interesting:

Although we should never forget that today it's not difficult to fake those things and that there are people who are having fun with faking this stuff.

I agree with what your saying Ray Peterson.I like watching Ghost Hunters and Ghost Hunters International.I like how they try to debunk things and want evidence that is valid.I love when they went to The Stanley,Fort Delaware, and St.Augustine Lighthouse.I also enjoy watching Paranormal State, they have helped many people. :)

Another good site is . paranormalnetwork.net
They have some videos that are very hard to explain.

Yes that is very chilling, and I know the EVP phenomenon is for real. I have tried this and actually got a strange voice recorded. It said "what should we tell them"
And no, we dont recognize whos voice it is.

That's interesting. Do you need some special recording device? Are there other rules when you succesfully want to record something?

Any recording device will work, but for the clearest quality, go digital.
The guidelines I follow are; 1.maintain your composer(things may get freaky)
2.write down your questions beforehand,so you dont forget them
3. wait at least 10-20 seconds between questions
4. use your 6th sense to record at the right time, like when the hairs on the back of your neck stand up
5. always use headphones when playing back what you've recorded

I hope this helps you capture a EVP,
I find it to be more exciting than frightening.

You also should state your name, who is with you,the place your in,time, and date. When you first turn on the recorder. :D

Thank you two for you words of advice. I'll try this someday. First I need a recording device.
