I talked to them at least twice
They where semi normal people
They mowed their lawn like regular people

...they had a lawn to mow!

Wow, this is really impressive and great. Any true Burbanite has to appreciate that you share this with us. And of course I'm getting a little envious, too. :D

Wow...he actually looks YOUNGER than he did in that old movie, unbelievable, oh well...guess Hollywood + sh*tload of money = it´s possible! :)

I also like the fact that he seems to acknowledge the movie and has a positive relationship to it while Tom Hanks seems to deny it somehow.

I've never understood why Mr. Hanks won't acknowledge his very own performance in that movie, it's one of his best performances ever imho.

It's not up there with Philadelphia, but it's imho. better than cast-away & many others he's been in. Personally I like it better when Mr. Hanks keeps himself to comedy. Why oh why...do actors always have to switch to some "serious elitist-artsy-fartsy" roles later in life?

It's like Director Steven Spielberg, at first he makes GREAT adventure movies (something he absolutely ROCK at together with George Lucas) and then he goes off to make those artsy-fartsy-all-sensitive-crap later on...

People should stick to what they're good at.
 
Well the good thing is that in my opinion Spielberg is a genius director and Hanks is a genius actor. So neither Spielberg is limited to making adventure movies (like a Michael Bay is limited to making action movies) nor is Tom Hanks limited to making comedy (like Kevin James for example).

Don't get me wrong, I believe they're both good as well in what they're doing but I don't want Kevin James to play a person who has AIDS or Michael Bay to direct Schindler's list. Hanks and Spielberg have the ability to go further and quite frankly I'm glad that they're doing so.

However what I don't like is when people deny their roots. Why isn't Spielberg just making another plain and simple adventure movie? Why isn't Tom Hanks making a funny comedy? Why are they not at least throwing one in between the other stuff they're doing? That's what I don't understand.
