THE OLYMPICS TOPIC II

That's the thing...no-one's do...because we're real human beings...we all have faults...come on...the poor kid probably has an inferiority complex for the rest of her life. Yeah...like that matters to the Chinese with their attitudes towards...well...anything with a pulse...but especially children and animals.

Just read. I won't post video links as they're far too disturbing. Just text...merely language...

There is waaaaaaay beyond far worse of course, nightmarish stuff, but like I say, I won't post direct links to that.

Same here..not even the opening ceremonies.

But check this out.

Listen to the guy's reason why..

That's awful! Aw she's a cute kid too. Only 2 years older than my daughter. Bless her. It's far more endearing to have a kid singing really well who is natural looking and genuine rather than faking it with a a child who looks like a model from the pages of a catalog. Twisted Politburo f****. Far Eastern Bad Karma.

I know! I was like..what the heck..she's adorable! Sure, maybe her teeth aren't perfect..but that should be the message people should push..that nobody's perfect..we all know it. I can't believe she even sang after that. I would be crying...
Check out the teeth of Celine Dion before she was famous. Heck!

"...we should sue them..."
I didn't see anything wrong with the little girl who actually sang.

I wonder what will happen when they invade Taiwan. Will the rest of the world stand by or oppose them? I think they will bide their time until they will be unstoppable. Thank goodness they don't have oil - that may be a bargaining chip.

If China invade Taiwan.......it's over pal....

What do you think will happen then?

Let's face it, I had to laugh today when I heard the U.S. administration talking of Russia 'respecting sovereign nations', and 'bullying' etc!!

I really think America and the UK should wind in their necks a bit and keep a faily low profile after Iraq/Afghanistcan.

I really don't like the way this sh*t is shaping up: Russia, U.S., Poland, Ukraine, Georgia, and of course the joy of Iran/Israel, Pakistan and India. China/Tibet/Taiwan.
What a planet.
In relation to the other link about visitors from another world, would you really land here??? Look at it LOL I'd skip off to another more laid back, peaceful, cool planet.

"to maintain the capacity of the United States to resist any resort to force or other forms of coercion that would jeopardize the security, or the social or economic system, of the people on Taiwan."

So you believe the U.S. would militarily interfere? I'm not sure about this. China is a nuclear power. That's the problem. And as we have already learned, the Chinese (as far as generalisation of nations is possible) are rather cold and reckless people. They would use the bomb sooner or later. And the U.S. should be aware of that before considering any military options.

And yeah, I'd skip off to another planet as well. Like Risa (from the Star Trek universe):

Risa - Also called Epsilon Ceti B II, located about ninety light-years from Earth, known for its beauty and relaxing tropical atmosphere. It is a world commonly sought by interstellar vacationers and starship crews on shore leave. The planet orbits several stars and its climate is controlled by a weather modification network, with the natural climate being extremely violent. Risians, especially the women, are extremely open and will freely share their planet, and even themselves, with vacationers; a practice known as "Jamaharon". Perhaps not coincidentally, the fun-loving planet's name is also the Spanish word for "laughter."

Walter, I have your dog.
Have you ever noticed that, if it is just a couple of people from different countries or cultures, unless one of them is an extreme butthead, you can generally get along or at least tolerate each other, but when large groups get involved, the largest being governments, the trouble starts?

Yep. That's just how the Soviets were percieved.

I think the western world has passed the time when we would interfere when China invades Taiwan. I used to work with a guy from Taiwan who, like all Taiwanese, has to serve in the military. He had a very low opinion of the mainland and spoke of a few skirmishes across the channel. They are counting on the west to aid them if ChiComms invade and I don't think that is realistic any more. I believe it is just a matter of time. I also think that China is changing with all the free market acceptance. The mass of capitalism may change the government through internal forces.

All IMO. What do you guys think?
