But I know what you mean. I'll always activate those winter / christmas wallpapers as well but never before december.

It's either Kinkade or some wallpapers from my Looney Tunes collection (also christmas themed).
 
I personally never thought or heard of them as cheesy. In fact I have a calendar full of all those pictures.
 
I have a Kinkade calendar as well (recently bought the 2008 one).

Ray...A census taker once tried to test me...I ate his liver...with some fava beans...and a nice Chianti...

all it 'reveals' is I have often gone for a name on a site and it's always taken. No one seems to have taken this...so....I used it. In the social sciences you can approach things from a biological viewpoint...a sociological perspective...or from a psychological slant....if all three are employed at once, it's called the biopsychosocio approach.
 
Thomas Kinkade probably isn't well like by critics, but who cares? If you like it, that is all that matters. I think his paintings are nice. I find critics often try to paint themselves (no pun intended) as mentally superior to us mortals. Remember that critics slammed the 'Burbs so who needs them? Bunch of elitists.
 
The whole concept of being a 'critic' is crap anyway. Each one of us sees different things in what we see compared to others. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Thankfully we're all different.Perception is subjective, it's not an objective reality.

So go ahead, enjoy Kinkade.Or not...
