Movie remakes... they annoy the hell out of most of us and yet there are a proud few that have received the nod of approval. What are yours?

The Parent Trap

Planet of the Apes

Cheaper by the Dozen

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory

Dawn of the Dead

I would also say Cape Fear but I haven't seen the original all the way through

Oh my gosh..I'd rather watch paint dry. at least it wouldn't take as long. I didn't think it would ever end.

if it aint broke, dont' fix it.

And now they are starting to turn old TV shows into movies, usually with no success. The Bewitched movie was pretty lame. Hopefully Get Smart will be good.

Yeah and Sex and the City

ffs

anyway

Remakes I like include The Flight Of The Phoenix, Miracle On 34th Street, I'm sure there are others...

Flight of the Phoenix. Indeed a good and enjoyable remake.

Does "The Mummy" count as a remake?

Hmmmmmmmmmm is it anything like Boris Karloff's original LOL

I have to say the US Ring and US Grudge weren't TOO bad really...

The Haunting was okay as a special effects movie, but nowhere near as atmospheric as the original.

House On Haunted Hill original with Vincent Price was cool. The remake was utter sh*t. They were giving it away in HMV. Stacks of them.
