God i love this film. Just stumbled across this site and it's amazing to see so many people who are bonkers about the movie like me. I wore out a vhs copy i'd taped from the tv when i was at school bought it three times since on various formats. The latest was the UK bluray arrow release with the workprint edit of the movie included. Before that all i'd had was 'theatrical trailer' as my bonus feature.
I vaguely remember a website called 'mayfield place' back in 2000. So pleased to find a grown community.
Hinkley hills used to be a lot smaller back then.

Hi and welcome aboard, I'm your neighbour, Ray Peterson, member since 2007 when the board was founded.

I think you are referring to a special community which indeed existed back in the lates 90's / early 2000's. Basically, this board was founded by some of the people who were active on the other website back then (they are known as BonnieRumsfield and Art Weingartner on this board). Unfortunately, both haven't been here since a couple of years so I can only hope they are doing well. There was also a guy with the Nickname "Barkelow" here on this board who had LOTS of background information about the movie and also once built a CAD model of the Burbs house once (https://btheburbs.runboard.com/t296) and he was a member of the old board, too. Unfortunately, he also stopped posting.

So I hope you enjoy it here.

Oh and by the way: What have you got in the cellar, Herr Klopek?

Welcome, and you need to buy the Carlotta super collector now to complete the Arrow release.

Welcome to the neighborhood Hair Klopek!, sugar substitute?

Terrible Terrible thing plight of the elderly board members. We were just remarking the other day how some old members like that could just drop right off the face of the earth without a sign, vanish, no one ever see them again, no trace, nothing. Right Ray?

I don't remember seeing a moving van outside?

welcome aboard
