Your ideas for a Burbs sequel

I once had the idea of writing a little short - story about "The Burbs". My intention was to create a story which plays one year after the Klopek incident. Ray, still troubled from what has happened one year ago is looking for a way to relax and to get rid of his nightmares.

Art realizes that Ray is about to take a week off and persuades him to a fishing trip. In their last - minute attempt they realize that there is no vacancy anymore. The Delvaney's offer their cabin for free. Ray reluctantly agrees although it means driving four hours to sit in a dank wet cabin.

Step by step Mark and Ricky hear about the vacation and finally the four guys are driving together to the lake.

What starts as a nice summer fishing trip slowly turns into something much more frightening as the neighbour with the enormous head starts sneaking around in the woods at night. The four men are wondering what the guy is doing there in the woods and begin their investigations which reveal more oddities about him.

One day they wake up and Ricky is gone. Of course the guy with the big head is the one to be blamed. And it's Art's, Ray's and Mark's mission to get Ricky back. But is everything as it is supposed to be?
 
Cool! Someone on the last board did something similar. It was excellent.

Awesome.. :) I can definitely see that happening, as well as a scene set after they manage to find Ricky alive and get him back. In it, Mark apologizes to Ricky for calling him a “meatball” and says he’s had those uncomfortable moments of communing with himself and realizing that there was a lot more to Ricky than met the eye. He offers to help Ricky learn self-defense, such as Jeet Kune Do, karate and kung-fu, and Ricky gratefully accepts.

Ray then informs Ricky that Dave misses him, and adds that Dave sees Ricky as an older brother figure of sorts (which makes sense, as Ricky and Dave are shown to be the only children in their family without any brothers or sisters).

I'd like to watch that.



 
There are a ton of things from the first movie you could expand upon to make a good sequel...but the neighbor with the enormous head is by far the best one you could use.
