Your theories on the green lights

WOW! That puts a whole new spin on the movie.
 
But the WTF moment just came when I first saw the US version in English (2004 when the DVD was released). It was then when I realized how bad the dubbing really is.

There are also some careless mistakes. For example in the scene when Ray and Art talk to each other in the backyard and Vince brings the human bone Ray once calls Art by his own name "Ray".
 
I was up fixing my roof yesterday (true story) and we´re actually having a Green-Sky tonight! :escher:
 
Well according to the German translation that means...
 
On your roof? Was your middle name Safety or Lewis? I hope you weren't a Rummsfield.
 
I like to think that the lights serve as a warning. I mean, Ricky Butler even says Green sky at morning, neighbor take warning. Green sky at night, neighbor take flight. And we pretty much only see the green lights around the Klopeks, or their house.
 
I read somewhere that green light is one of the few colors that rarely appears in nature ( sunlight is yellow or orange or reddish, moonlight is blue). So any use of green light creates an unsettling, eerie, unnatural quality. That's why so many horror movies and alien movies utilize green light for mood and atmosphere.

I thought I was the only one who noticed this, lol...

Also, green lights down in the Klopek's basement, when they go down there & you see the rat down there as well...

There are green lights on the left side of the Klopek's house for sure & coming from the basement windows as the Klopek's furnace is running, as well...

Also, green lights illuminating the trees & some of the bushes, especially on the left side of the Klopek's house.

Also the scene where Ray walks the dog & Ricky starts talking about "Green sky tonight", there seems to be an overall blue light being cast all over Ray's side yard & all over Art's house & yard.
