Any movie that gives you the same feeling as The 'Burbs?

License to Drive is excellent.

I'll add Secret Admirer (1985) to that list.

So many people seem to have enjoyed License to Drive. I've never seen that. I've never seen License to Drive...I've never seen that.

I should give it a try.

I've seen Dream a Little Dream a few times, but probably not for over 15 years. I've completely forgotten it, so it'll be nice to rediscover. Highway To Hell I've never seen, never heard of. So that one needs to be checked out soon!

Thanks for the recommendations. Feel free to keep them coming, everyone!

I just watched a very weird 80s horror film called Pin. It's one of the creepiest films I've seen. Very unusual. Definitely worth watching, and it does have that 80s suburban feel that a lot of the films on this thread have. Here's the IMDB:

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0095871/?ref_=fn_al_tt_1

Hm, this one reads interesting, will try checking it out. I just noticed that it is also available on youtube.

Speeking of creepy. Has anyone ever seen "Jacobs Ladder"? Holy cow, this contains scenes which freaked me out forever. Almost surrealistic. Especially the scenes in which Tim Robbins seems to be seeing those demons which are shaking their heads scared the hell out of me.

I've somehow managed to never see Jacob's Ladder. I've always wanted to though. It's even written by the same man who wrote Deadly Friend :) I've added it to my ever-growing list of films I need to watch.

Well, I can with absolute certainty say that the movie does NOT give me ANY feeling whatsoever as the Burbs. :holy:

LOL, absolutely. Quite frankly (believe it or not), Jacob's Ladder did NOT make me laugh once. Strange, isn't it?
