Farrah Fawcett and Michael Jackson in one day!

Did somebody watch the clip I posted above (the Smooth Criminal performance)?

Well, I tried the move he does from 03:16 onwards. Of course I fell to the ground and hurt my leg. How the hell does he do that?

There's no denying that Michael Jackson was a one of a kind. But really i've been saying for years that I kinda feel sorry for him. The man was a virtual prisoner in his own home because of his mega-fame. Could you imagine having 100 cameras film your every move each and every time you steped outside your door? He couldn't do simple things like walk his dogs or go jogging without 100s of people chasing and hounding him for autografs. I'll bet thats why he titled one of his hit songs "leave me alone." Have you heard that song?

That's right, he had no chance but locking himself up on the Neverland Ranch. It must be crazy to have to change your life like that. You can't go to the deli to get a beef sandwich without hundreds of paparazzi and screaming unnerving fans behind you. That's the price you pay for being a "star" and that's what can destroy many people (Heath Ledger for example).

Nicolas Cage, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt and many others: see how they're buying secluded castles all over the world? They're trying to escape.

MJ was a fantatic entertainer and may he RIP, but I cannot forgive is paedophile ways. It's gross and disgusting.

I understand your feelings RY, ALL child abusers should be locked up for life! But we should acknowledge the fact MJ was found not guilty by a jury, for whatever thats worth.

Any paedophile behaviour is detestable and should be condemned. I think we can agree on that.

Nonetheless I believe MJ was misunderstood. He felt like a kid himself so sharing his bed with other kids was kind of normal for him. It wasn't a "adult shares bed with kid" situation for him, it was a "kid shared bed with kid" situation.

The guy / family who accused him started the accusation once he stopped his payments for them and so on. Some things remain weird in this case.

Again: sharing bed with kids is a strange and outlandish misconduct which can not be accepted but I personally believe MJ had no sexual ulterior motives.

I agree KMan, he was foung not guilty. But so was OJ. It's all in one own perspective I guess.

If Michael Jackson sleeping with children (by his own admission) had been the guy next door, or a colleague at work, he'd have been on the sexual offender's register and locked up. No questions.

The fact that he paid off the fist abuse case showed guilt. I wouldn't have done that if I was him: I'd fight tooth and nail to clear my name I don't care how much money I had, I wouldn't hand over one penny.

I do agree however, and have sympathy, with MJ and his childhood. He was violently abused by his dad and was performing on stage from 4.

He never had a childhood. Many, many sex offenders were themselves abused when kids.
But when they go on to offend, they are locked up. Because...it breaks the law. It's illegal.

I think MJ was one of the greatest entertainers on the planet. Sad life, obviously disturbed and strange, but I don't like when fame and wealth allow people like MJ and OJ to get off.

I think RY is right. We are all entitled to are own opinion, and all opinions should be respected. But the fact of the matter is nobody knows exactly what happened except the people who were there.. Obviously none of us were there.
