I just read that the unemployment rate for the US is 9.5%. OUCH. I guess Obama and his wild spending of billions isn't doing any good. Great, now we have no jobs and no money. Time to go bowl a few frames and get a beef sandwich and make the best of it.

I read that too and was shocked. I remember rates about 4% - 5% for the US for a very long time now and always thought it would be great to have rates like these here in Germany as well. The leap to 9.5% happened really fast.
With certain labor market instruments like short-time-work (Kurzarbeit) we keep the rate at 7.7% at the moment but these instruments will become ineffective sooner or later and then, El Snappo the rate will rise again.
And among this chaos I will finish my studies and apply for jobs at the end of the year. Not a good point of time I guess. Aaaaah, this will become a messed up curriculum vitae

We had a full page photo in our press of Obama checking out some woman's ass as she walked up some steps in a tight red dress...
