The Burbs Blu Rays and Extras

Wow, very unusual artwork! Obviously I have no choice but to get it. It'll be interesting to see which pictures are in the book.

EDIT: Okay, pre-ordered. Sometimes being a die hard fan of The Burbs is expensive.

Looking forward to it. The book seems very interesting to me, too, but I assume it will only be available in French, does anybody know this for sure?

I had French lessons in school for 4 years but it seems I forgot about 97% of what I've learned. Guess I have to reactivate those skills again ;)

I had French lessons in school too, but that was a long time ago, and I didn't even know it that well back then!

A true fan of The Burbs would take the next three months to become fluent in French...

C'est vrai, c'est vrai.

Guess I have to get my old "cahier d'exercises" out of the cellar (Herr Klopek) and get ready.

Yes, the book is French language only. Among other things, it contains a 11,000 words essay focussing on the writing and filming of The 'Burbs for which Dana Olsen provided a lot of informations and a few never-seen(read)-before documents. And Joe Dante also answered a few specific questions. You want to know what the very first script featuring Ray and the others looked like? What the ending could have been if it suddenly became an action or a war film ? Who was first supposed to play the part of Ray and direct the picture? It's all in here! And much more…

The book also contains a lot of never-seen-before pictures.
