What y'all readin'?

Yeah. Saw it a coupla years back on the History Channel. I was gobsmacked cos some of his stuff blew me away to be honest. Check this out:

I always respected von Däniken for his unconventional points of view and all the basic research and his important contributions he made to what we call "Paläo-SETI".

And to crop circles: even IF they're made by some people living on this earth, I totally respect this since it is a form of art. Look at this:

It takes very intelligent and talented people to do this.

Sometimes I wonder what the ancient cultures really knew about technology.

What do you think about the tablet they found in the temple in Abydos:

I just recenty watch a program on the History channel called Ancient Aliens. Pretty intersting stuff. It was about the times of antiquity and how they were able to build such things such as the pyramids of Giza, the Myans and so on. Very interesting.

Erich Von Daniken in his book describes many things from the Bible. "wheels within wheels" and interprets these as catterpillar tracks. He talks of descriptions from thousands of feet up in the air looking over the land and describing it, if I remember, like porridge. Which it does...yet how did they know that? Also talks of Lot and his wife turning to a pillar of stone. She turns round to see the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah - and he feels this describes a nuclear blast - turning to a pillar of stone like many appeared to at Hiroshima due to the heat and blast. He asked why God was so limited to time in the destruction of S&G, as He has all the time He desires. Yet the destruction of S&G was a set time, like a countdown and so Lot and wife had to get out. He talks about a bunch of stuff from the Bible and interprets it differently. The most eye opening thing for me initially was the numerical facts at the opening page, about how many stars, planets, galaxies and solar systems are in our universe. Even 1% of 1% of 1% of 1% would still mean millions and millions of earth-like planets.

It's all pretty facinating stuff. I think I'll surf the web and see what's out there.

Right now I'm reading Robinson Crusoe. That would be a great book to have if you were stranded on a desert island(which I think would be cool if it was only for like a month). Anyways, it's a great book. This is like my 4th time reading it.
