There are green lights towards the end of "The Hole".
I think point 'n click would work.
In addition to the main story, you could have little side activities which don't affect your progress through the game. Like in the Sam and Max game where there were things to click on and you would get a humourous comment.
For example, if you are playing as...
Sorry if that title got anyone exicted ;)
I know this is never going to happen, but how cool would it be if Telltale Games developed a game series based on The 'burbs franchise. This year they will be releasing a series of games based on Back To The Future and Jurassic Park and although many...
Not exactly a purely 'Burbs item, and sure the man at the nursery might be able to tell you what to do with the zinnias, but you might want a copy of this to know where to put the rest of them...

By the way, I just noticed that the side door is missing...
The Texas Chainsaw Massacre was banned for many years, and I recall quite a lot of advertising for it once it got given its rating and was shown for the very first time on Channel 4. Before then, the Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2 scenes were cut from The 'Burbs but since then they've been put back...
I think that films such as Gremlins appeal to anybody whereas The 'Burbs appeals more to those people who live out in the suburbs. Those who don't maybe don't get some of the humour, because it's so subtle.
It's a similar fate as seen by Office Space - a box office failure but has since grown...
