I've been absent for a while, I do apologise, but I'm back. Hope you guys had a great Xmas?

Weirdest thing happened to me on Sunday (yesterday). I bumped into someone I haven't seen for ooooh 8 years? I used to go to University with his wife. We did Criminology together. Well, he said (and I quote) "Whenever it's Christmas or whenever The Burbs is on TV she always talks about you" LOL LOL ???? Unreal....8 years ago???? How in the F did she remember me for the burbs from that long ago? I know how.......
at the time I watched it every Sunday night and Wednesday night without failure. For 3 years. I must have rubbed off on her. So to speak.
Wednesday night was always the same deal. I'd go shopping, grab a kebab, then watch The Great Escape until 11pm then 11:30pm I'd watch BURBS! Oh yah...3 years non-stop!
 
Wow, that's a true Burbanite. Twice a week for 3 years? I don't even dare to count how many times you must have seen "The Burbs" just in the course of these three years...

I bow my head in awe.
 
I don't think the garbage men even come by that often...

I don't know what that just meant, but I felt I needed to say something... :D
 
I remember that. I remember us talking about the frequency of Burbs watching on the old Board, but I usually only watched it very early Saturday AM
 
Folks, I have to admit: the last time I watched "The Burbs" was already a few months ago. Guess, it's time...

Yeah, you'll find you really enjoy watching it after the haitus. Maybe even get back into watching it habitually?
 
I have to watch it on a habitual base again. It already causes feelings of guilt. When I think of the other crap I saw within the past months I regret not giving me my Burbs - dose.
 
ahaha omg that is just insane! lol the only "habit" i have of watching the burbs is when this special soda comes out around october (a special type of christmas-soda) so my sis and i buy this soda, and usually some french-fries potatoe-chips and then we watch the burbs, lool. other than that, i just watch it when i feel like it.


i think it's been months now! :-o

Same here. I watch it when I'm in the right mood. I love to watch it when it's stormy out. :)
 
Stormy out, kinda like the night that Hans drove the garbage out to the street and banged the heck out of it with a stick?
