I'm currently working on the upcoming Carlotta edition of The 'Burbs and I need your help. Does somebody know to get in touch with Dana Olsen? Or, at least, has a lead, an idea? Carlotta has no clue, nor does Joe Dante himself. And I'd really like to have his input for one of our features.
You may wonder if I'm really working on this project, so I'm giving you a clue about my real identity. I'm the author of this book: Joe Dante, l'art du je(u)
(And to answer one of the questions above: sadly, we won't have a Joe Dante commentary on the film. But rest assure it will be a great edition nevertheless)
Didn't the Arrow Films release have commentary track by Dana Olsen? Am I remembering that incorrectly? Perhaps they would have a means of getting in touch with him. Either that or you could contact the WGA directly, but I don't know if they give out information like that.
He also co-created the show Henry Danger that is currently running on Nickelodeon. I don't know how you go about contacting them, but there are some leads.
Great to know there will be another The 'Burbs release! I hope you find him.

Yes, new audio commentary with writer Dana Olsen, moderated by author Calum Waddell. But I didn't find a way to contact him.
After a few more messages sent here and there (including one to the WGA, as was suggested here, but I'm still waiting to hear from them), I've received Dana Olsen's email address a couple of minutes ago!
I'm not allowed to say too much about this release yet, except that it will be out in december. And, to say the least, it will be a great looking edition.

The Carlotta edition will have a specially commissioned artwork on the cover, but I don't know yet if it will inspired by the old one or not (maybe more on that soon).
And Mr. Olsen is about to send me a few completely unreleased documents!
