As long as most of the deleted scenes are included in the workprint, that's enough for me. I'm very happy about the isolated music track and the making-of doc.

The only disappointment for me is the absence of a blooper reel.

If *MOST* of the deleted scenes is included with the workprint, then YOU can make your own blooper-reel :)

I mean this kind of blooper-reel. You know, flubbed lines and such:

I would have loved loads more bloopers, but I guess they just don't exists or they would have included them.

I've never seen that.

Arrow responded about the bloopers not appearing on the disc. They had this to say: "Unfortunately Universal wouldn't let these go due to legal clearances, very surprised they are on youtube!"

I'm guessing there's a bunch of 'Burbs bloopers in the Universal vault. It sucks that we probably will never see them.

But hey, how spoiled could I be? This is a FANTASTIC release! So glad we're getting it!

Yeah, we should count our lucky stars we are getting what we are getting. I'm very pleased with the specs.

Maybe for the 50th anniversary we'll get the bloopers.

There's always a chance that the bloopers will one day appear on a DVD, perhaps if Universal release a region 1 special edition for the US market.

I've never seen that.

I really hope that happens, seeing as I'm in region 1.

*bites apple* Maybe.

Walter, I have your dog.
Another Blu-ray release is on the horizon it seems. Umbrella Entertainment, based in Australia, will be releasing The 'Burbs on the 1st of October.

Hmmmm, nothing being mentioned concerning the extras on the disc. Suspicious.

So it seems like they are selling off the blu ray rights country to country, and it's up to the company making the disc what extras are on there. It would be nice if there was something special about each version...This one might not have anything special on it though...

Maybe even those bloopers will appear on one of these other versions!

I've never seen that.

Don't give them ideas...then we've got to purchase every Blu-RayPeterson version from each country. :p

You're right...But I'd buy a blu-RayPeterson from another country if it had a Joe Dante commentarty, 20 minutes of bloopers, and a 30 documentary about the green lights :D

I've never seen that.
From the forum posts, it doesn't seem like the AU version will have as much extra material if any at all.
