Looks great. Watching a interview with Joe Dante from August 13 he said there was alot of footage he never used. Very interesting to see how many deleted scenes are on this blu ray. What a disappointment it would be to wait this long for a minute or two of extra footage.
Sucks because they asked Dante just about everything you can think of except would he be open to doing a sequel or remake. He seemed pretty proud of the movie and even though he wasn't asked I think he would consider it.
Like he said though universal doesn't look at The Burbs as a great film so they really don't care a less about it. When someone asked about the blu ray Dante replied " your lucky its even on DVD". A shame if you ask me.

In 4 days we'll get more details, here's hopping for a lot of deleted scenes.

Something that I would love, but it almost certainly won't happen: an extended version of The Burbs with all the deleted/unused scenes inserted into their correct position, meaning you can watch the whole thing in one go with everything included.
They did this for the other Tom hanks movie Big. There's a version of the film on the most recent blu ray release with 28 minutes of footage that had never been seen before. I've seen Big dozens of times, so watching it with new scenes inserted in was very weird. And great fun!

My comp doesn't have a bluray player, but if i can find a file of the extras, i will insert the deleted scenes in the movie.
